Opportunity’s Engine provides an apolitical platform for the evaluation of ideas and solutions entered by anyone, anywhere.
You may participate simply by entering Opportunity’s Engine and establishing your code identity. You must then choose an Intellectual Focus reflects your greatest strength and which will direct your efforts inside Opportunity’s Engine If you wish, you may take a Quiz designed to find your particular strength.
Creative minds will offer ideas and solutions in the category(s) and location(s) of their choice
Analytical minds will be presented with lists of ideas and comments within category/locations and asked to evaluate the relative merits.
Organizational minds will ensure the integrity of the structure—that categories and subcategories are unique and properly defined, and that ideas are properly categorized. Together they will review and approve or disapprove new categories/subcategories suggested by participants.
Investigative minds will review ideas within Opportunity’s Engine in the context of history and present reality and rate them accordingly
The quality of ideas is determined by a percolation process driven by the weighted evaluations of peers. The weight of peer influence is relative to the accuracy of past evaluations as determined by actual outcomes. On a continuous basis, Opportunity’s Engine will evaluate the relative merit of all efforts within each Intellectual Category (percolated best to worst) for each idea category/location. Best performers will be placed on an Honor Role updated monthly and will be eligible for cash prizes.
Annual Fees: Participants who wish to be eligible for cash prizes may either pay an annual registration fee of $50, or earn eligibility through a target participation level within Opportunity’s Engine equal to twice the average participation level of paying members.
Fifty percent of registration fees received each month will be distributed on a graduated basis among the top performing ten percent of all eligible participants.
The remainder of all registration fees will be used, first to cover maintenance and operating costs for Opportunity’s Engine, and second to fund computer models of leading solutions developed within the Brain as determined by the weighted evaluation of all participants.
